Victim Injured in Overnight Robbery

An Officer patrolling his beat observed the victim leaning against the fence, his face and upper body covered in blood.  The victim told the Officers several Black males drove up next to him in an older model purple Chevrolet Impala with chrome rims, exited the vehicle and assaulted him when he was unable to communicate with them.  The males punched and kicked the victim until he fell to the ground. The suspects took the victim’s money from his pocket and fled northbound on S. Port Avenue.  The victim sustained a laceration to the right temple along with facial injuries.  He refused transport to the hospital for medical treatment.  The driver of the Impala is described as a Black male, 25 to 30 years of age, and long black hair.   He was last seen dressed in black.  The other two suspects’ were also described as 25 to 30-year-old Black males.  One was last seen wearing a red and black shirt, while the other was wearing a white tee-shirt.  Anyone having any information regarding this crime is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS or the Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Bureau.
