50 Years of Combined Experience Counts

Occurred on 11/17/11, 10:16 a.m.   Burglary of a Habitation     725 S. Carancahua Street.     1111170044

Homicide/Robbery Detective R.L. Garcia and Reserve Officer D. Langley were working their quarterly Patrol Day when they responded  to the victim’s residence for a burglary.  The Officers contacted the victim who reported she heard the front door of her neighbor’s apartment being kicked open.  She went to investigate and observed a Black male wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts run out of her neighbor’s apartment carrying a bag and a guitar.

The Officers searched the area and found a male fitting the suspect’s description  in the 800 block of Coleman Drive.  The suspect denied being the burglar and agreed to return to the crime scene with the Officers.

The 23-year-old witness to the burglary positively identified the suspect as the burglar.  Michael Darnel King (03/12/72) was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
