No Honor Among Thieves

Occurred on 12/04/11  3:00 p.m.  Burglary of a Habitation   4221 Valley Circle Drive     1112040061

Officers responding to a burglary contacted the victim who reported he heard the doorbell ring several times, but ignored it.  Shortly thereafter, he heard loud noises when the suspects jumped over the fence.  The suspects then pried open the back door and gained entry into the home.

As the victim walked out of his bedroom, he observed three suspects walking out of the front bedroom carrying some of his belongings.  One suspect surprised by the victim’s presence called out the victim’s name.  All three fled out the front door with the victim chasing after them.

The victim told Officers he was unable to catch the suspects, but one of them was a nearby neighbor who lived in the 4200 block of Snowbird Street. 

Officers contacted a juvenile at the residence and located some of the stolen property.  The suspects were not found at the residence.  Officers contacted the father, who ordered his 15-year-old son to return home where he was placed in police custody.

Further investigation revealed the identity of the second suspect who also lives in the 4200 block of Snowbird Street. The 13-year-old was detained and placed in police custody.

The identity of the third burglar was revealed and Officers contacted the 13-year-old at his residence in the 6900 block of Everhart Road.  He was also detained and placed in police custody.

All three suspects were charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
