Shoplifting Parents Arrested, Newborn Released to Aunt

Occurred on 1/15/12, 7:34 p.m.   Theft & Child Endangerment  4444 Kostoryz     1201150113                  

Officers were at Carroll Lane and Gollihar when a B.O.L.O. (Be On the Lookout) was issued for a red Monte Carlo involved in a theft of several briskets at the H.E.B., 4444 Kostoryz Road.  The suspects were confronted at the door, but were able to escape.  They fled in the suspect vehicle on Gollihar towards Weber, nearly striking two vehicles in the parking lot as they made their getaway.  The suspects were unwittingly headed straight in the Officers direction. 

The Officers pulled over the red Monte Carlo and detained the occupants Jorge Luis Pena (08/21/92) and April Nicole Williams (02/02/93).  Williams was wearing her seatbelt, but holding her newborn son.

Pena and Williams were positively identified by witnesses and arrested.  Both Pena and Williams were charged with Theft and Endangering a Child ~ Criminal Negligence. 

Officers did find three brisket in their possession and returned them to H.E.B. personnel.
