Victim Ambushed and Robbed

Occurred on 1/16/12, 7:12 p.m.  Robbery  Brownlee Boulevard & Winnebago Street        1201160148

A 48-year-old victim told Officers he was approached by a couple of Black males in a gold Pontiac Grand Prix who offered to sell him drugs.  The victim refused the offer and walked into the Shell station.  The males drove away and waited for the victim at Brownlee and Winnebago.

A passenger in the vehicle jumped out and assaulted him with a tire iron.  The victim was struck in the face and robbed of his money. The suspect hopped into the vehicle and fled on Leopard towards Nueces Bay.

The suspect is described as a skinny Black male wearing a blue tee-shirt and blue jeans.

The getaway driver was described as a 20-year-old Black male, wearing a red and black jacket with dark-colored pants.

While conducting their investigation, the suspect returned to the area and pulled over by Officers.  Gernorris Dixon (03/11/89) was positively identified as the getaway driver and arrested.

Dixon was charged with Robbery.  The victim was treated by CCFD Emergency Personnel at the scene and released.
