BBQ + Beer + Football = Fight Over Stolen Aluminum Cans

Occurred 1/22/12, 10:09 p.m.  Burglary of a Habitation   1651 S. Brownlee     1201220153

A verbal confrontation over the theft of aluminum cans escalated into a fight.  The victim told Officers his neighbors were having a barbecue when he stopped by to talk football.  The suspect Frisco Candle (03/14/67) and his friends immediately accused the victim of stealing aluminum cans. 

The victim’s wife heard the fuss and walked out to check on her husband who was returning to their apartment followed by the Candle and company.  The suspect and his friends rushed the door just as the victim locked it. 

Candle and his friends were able to force the door open and push their way inside.  A fist fight ensued between all parties involved.  The victim’s wife was struck in the face and knocked down in the free-for-all.  The victims were able to push the neighbors out the door, but the suspects took several personal items with them. 

Officers arrested Candle and charged him with Burglary of a Habitation.  The victims stolen items were recovered outside their apartment and returned.
