Occurred on 1/30/12, 12:20 a.m.   Driving While Intoxicated   1100 Hwy 358    1201300005/C1200687 

MetroComm Dispatchers issued a B.O.L.O. (Be on the Look Out) for a white GMC pick-up truck traveling westbound in the eastbound lane.  The wrong way driver Richard Daugherty (05/30/85) was in the middle lane when he struck a red Honda Civic driven by a 20-year-old female.  The female was able to swerve to some extent and prevented a head-on collision.  She sustained minor injuries and transported to Spohn Memorial. 

Daugherty who was not injured in the collision appeared intoxicated and  a blood warrant obtained. 

He was medically cleared and arrested.  Daugherty was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
