Victim Assaulted Before Being Carjacked

Officers contacted the victim who reported he gave a friend a ride home at 3:30 in the morning.  Shortly thereafter, he returned to his friend’s house to pick up some DVD’s when he was approached by a male and struck several times on the head.  The suspect continued assaulting the victim, kicking and hitting him as he was fell to the ground.

The suspect took the victim’s keys and drove off in his grandfather’s vehicle.  The victim sustained a bruised eye and abrasions to his back and elbow.  He declined medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a 22-year-old Hispanic male, 5’11” feet tall, and weighing 190 lbs.  He was seen driving off in a silver 2000 Ford Expedition.
