The Corpus Christi Police Department investigated 21 vehicle crashes in 8 hours Friday from 7:00am until 3:00pm. This is a holiday weekend and there will be many travelers on the road. The Corpus Christi Police Department reminds everyone on the road to travel safely and follow a few simple tips:

• Wear a seat belt
• Use approved child safety restraints properly
• Be patient and obey speed limits
• Avoid in-car distractions
• Don’t tailgate
• And PLEASE do not drink and drive
