Two air conditioner units were taken from two Padre Island homes overnight while the owner slept inside the home Wednesday.
A 54-year-old man said he discovered someone had tampered with his central air conditioner exterior unit and taken the neighbors unit during the night while he slept. The 54-year-old man said he woke to his dog’s barks which prompted him to investigate. The man then discovered the air conditioner units were taken and destroyed leaving an estimated value of damage at about $5,000.
