Flour Bluff Wakes To Graffiti, 1 Apprehended

Corpus Christi police apprehended a 14-year-old boy at 1:45 in the morning at the 700 block of St. Peter for graffiti.

Corpus Christi Police Officer Chris Alejandro patrolled the area around Waldron Park in response to increased activity of graffiti. Officer Alejandro observed a 14-year-old boy out after curfew and saw fresh paint on a nearby stucco wall. Officer Alejandro discovered evidence that the 14-year-old boy was responsible for the graffiti, so the boy was taken into custody and delivered to the Nueces County Juvenile Detention Center.

Patrol Officers discovered 14 other locations in the general area where the 14-year-old was apprehended that were damaged by graffiti. Police have information that there are two other juveniles that may be responsible for the graffiti. Corpus Christi Police Graffiti Detectives continue to investigate these crimes.

The city of Corpus Christi has a curfew that prohibits those 16 years of age and younger from appearing in a public place without the supervision of the parents from 11:00pm until 6:00am for the safety of the children.
