A 32-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after marijuana was found in his vehicle on a traffic stop.

Corpus Christi Police Officers stopped David Gonzalez (6/24/1979) in a 2005 Nissan Altima for a traffic violation at the 6600 block of Staples. Police officers smelled burned marijuana from inside the vehicle.

Corpus Christi Police conducted an investigation and discovered 1.24 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. Gonzalez is a known game member and was arrested for possession of marijuana. The charge is a state jail felony punishable by up to 2 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
