Occurred on 7/4/12, 6:42 p.m.  Driving While Intoxicated  SH 286 over 19th Street       C1205113/1207040124 

Officers assisting with traffic control on Hwy 286 Southbound over 19^th Street parked their vehicle and began to direct traffic.  One of the Officers observed a white Chevrolet pick-up truck headed at their police car.  The truck swerved to prevent striking the police car, but still managed to hit the mirror, the spot light, and tire. 

The truck’s driver pulled over right away, but staggered and swayed as he walked towards the Officers. Officers exited the freeway taking the driver, Bobby Harris (05/02/48) with them.  Harris who appeared to be intoxicated was administered Standard Field Sobriety Test and a Blood Draw.  He was taken to Spohn Shoreline for the blood draw and medical evaluation. 

Harris was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
