Corpus Christi Police Investigators are evaluating burnt property on the 700 block of South Port Avenue that is suspected to have been the result of arson.

Corpus Christi Police were called to Irma’s Lounge located at 703 South Port Avenue for a building that was on fire. The building was boarded and unoccupied and was consumed by fire.

Witnesses told police officers that a man who wore blue jeans and a gray shirt ran east from the fire. Police Investigators seek any additional information the public may have about this fire.

Police were called to the 900 block of Duncan Street at 6:20am for a fire in a vacant lot. A piece of furniture was on fire and located near to the original fire at the 900 block of South Port Avenue.
