A 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old man were apprehended by police at 4:00am Sunday morning at an apartment complex near Everhart Road and Saratoga Boulevard for throwing rocks at a passing police patrol car.
Two officers rode together in the same patrol car when rocks struck the car and caused $350 worth of damage to the windshield. The officers stopped and found piles of rocks at the golf course adjacent to the road. The officers saw foot prints through the dew on the grass. The officers followed the footprints and then saw two people jump the fence into the Fairway Apartments. The officers demanded the two people stop, but the two disobeyed the command and officers had to chase the two through the apartment complex.
The officers apprehended the two after a short chase. Police apprehended a 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old man. The 14-year-old boy was issued a citation for violation of night curfew and delivered to the Nueces County Juvenile Detention Center for Criminal Mischief and Evading Arrest. The 17-year-old man, Israel Olbera (12/6/1994) was issued a citation for inducing curfew and then delivered to the city detention center for Criminal Mischief and Evading Arrest.
