Occurred on 8/22/12, 9:39 pm  Major Accident      8400 SH 358    C1206374 

Officers were dispatched to a major accident involving a 51-year-old motorcyclist who struck the raised island as he exited the Paul Jones off ramp.  The motorcyclist traveled on and crashed into a yield sign, knocking it down.  

He was ejected from the black 1981 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and sustained a head injury.  Pokice report he was wearing a half helmet.  He was taken to Spohn Memorial for medical treatment.  As of this post, the motorcyclist was listed in critical condition. 

The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Police Department’s Traffic Division.
