Occurred on 8/24/12, 01:22 am Burglary of a Building 1601 Ayers 1208250013
The police department received a call for service in which two men could be seen burglarizing vehicle at The Car Connection. While en route Officers were advised the burglars had jumped the fence and fled. One of the male was described as wearing a white polo shirt.
Officers arrived and began searching for the suspects and found the suspect in the white polo shirt carrying away a large flat screen tv. He was also found to have blood on his hands and shirt. Further investigation revealed the suspect(s) had crawled through a hole in the fence line and burglarized the business entering through a window. Officers also found blood on the window edge and broken glass.
The owner arrived at the business and positively identified his stolen property. Officers also found a drill/light set and a car battery charger valued at $980. The owner estimated the damage to the building at $1,500.
Henry Mungia Perez (12/27/77) was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Building, a State Jail Felony punishable by up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
