Occurred on 9/20/12, 8:50 pm   Aggravated Assault 10400 S Padre Island Boulevard 1209200155

Police observed two men fighting in the parking lot of a local restaurant.  As they drove towards them, the attacker fled on foot, while the victim ran into the restaurant. Officers were able to detain both men and their investigation revealed  Deejay Arnold (10/24/87) and the victim became involved in a fight.  Arnold pulled a knife and unsuccessfully attempted to stab the victim in the stomach.  The victim did receive a small cut to the chin and bruising to the face during the assault.

Arnold was arrested and while waiting for transport, Arnold began kicking the police car door and bang his head on the partition. As the Officer opened the door to transfer Arnold, he was kicked on the leg and spat on. Arnold was pepper sprayed which had a calming effect on him.

He was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Public Intoxication, and Criminal Trespass.  He was additionally charged with Criminal Trespass when a store employee from a nearby  grocery store told Officers, Arnold had been at the store just prior to the assault.  Arnold had previously been charged with a theft at the store and issued a criminal trespass warning.  A charge of Failure to Identify was given to Arnold when he refused to identify himself to Officers.
