A 45-year-old man suffered several broken bones in his chest and shoulder after he crashed his moped into a truck on the 3000 block of Waldron Road near Caribbean Drive Friday night.
A 16-year-old boy drove a white 2011 Ford F-250 pickup truck on the 3000 block of Waldron Road Friday night at about 9:25pm and turned to enter the parking lot for the Stripes Store. The truck turned into the path of a blue 2012 Rockford moped that travelled north on Waldron operated by a 45-year-old man.
The 45-year-old man was not wearing a helmet and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The 16-year-old boy was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way when turning left and for failing to display a driver license. The 45-year-old man was also issued a citation for not having a motorcycle license and for not having insurance for the vehicle.
