                A 28-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his back after an attempted robbery at a car wash located at 2643 Riggan Street Friday night.

A 28-year-old man told police he washed his black 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck at the Make It Shine Car Wash at 8:00pm Friday night. The 28-year-old man said a Hispanic man who was about twenty years of age and stood about 5 foot 9 inches tall with short brown hair and tattoos attempted to take the pickup truck. The 28-year-old man said he resisted the theft and the Hispanic man presented a firearm. The 28-year-old man said the firearm was discharged and the 28-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back.

The 28-year-old man said the Hispanic man got into a green Ford Explorer that had two other men inside and the Explorer left northbound on Prescott. Corpus Christi Police continue to search for the suspects.
