A 47-year-old wrecker driver was dragged and stomped on by Travis Lawrence Young (10/03/81) who stopped by Lone Star Wrecker Service to retrieve his “stolen” Chrysler 300.  The wrecker service had impounded the vehicle from a  local apartment complex.

Young walked into the wrecker yard and started his car, refusing to follow their release procedures.  The victim was approaching the open driver’s side door when Young began to reverse his vehicle and “hooked” the wrecker driver, dragging him.  He was then kicked and hit by Young who then attempted to drive off.  Young  was blocked in by a wrecker driven by another employee.

The victim who had a shoe print on his shirt where he was kicked by Young told Officers he would seek medical care on his own for the pain to his legs and ribs.

Young was arrested and booked at the City Detention Center.  He was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
