Occurred on 10/13/12, 10:30 am Driving While Intoxicated 4900 Ayers Street 1210130146 

Officer P. Janko was traveling northbound in the 4900 block of Ayers when he was almost hit by a brown Buick when it swerved over into his lane of traffic.  The Officer attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver failed to stop and continued driving several hundred feet.

The driver Pedro Figirova (04/14/49) was contacted and appeared to be intoxicated.  Further investigation revealed Firgirova was drinking at a local bar and unaware he almost hit a police car.  He was administered Standard Field Sobriety Tests and a Breath Test.

Figirova was arrested and booked at the City Detention Center.  He was charged Driving While Intoxicated 3^rd or More which is a 3^rd Degree Felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 fine.
