Woman Charged with U.U.M.V.

Caryn Ann House

Reported on 10/15/12, 7:07 am  Burglary of a Habitation/U.U.M.V.  400 block of  Pennington Drive  1210150028 

On October 15, 2012, Officers contacted the 74-year-old victim who reported the keys to his white Pontiac G6 along with a pistol were stolen from inside his residence.  The keys were used to steal his Pontiac from the drive way.  The victim was unable to provide Officers with any suspect information.

The following day, shortly after 4:00pm, Officers received a call to the parking garage at 400 Mann Street for an intoxicated female in a white vehicle.  It was discovered the vehicle was the stolen Pontiac from Pennington Drive.  A witness told Officers the female had walked away, but provided them with a physical description of the woman.

One of the Officers recognized the woman as Caryn Ann House (05/25/77) and began searching the area for her.  House was found behind the Enterprise Rental Car Agency at 823 N. Water Street.  The Officer observed House attempt to hide a pouch containing several syringes containing Heroin and Heroin residue.  House was also found to be have in her possession the set of keys to the stolen Pontiac.

House was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.  The vehicle was impounded and will be returned to the owner.  Officers were unable to locate the stolen weapon. (1210160076 and 1210150027)
