Occurred on 10/21/12, 10:32pm  Burglary of a Building  1400 Buenos Aires Street  1210210143

Officers contacted the 31-year-old victim who reported her storage shed had been burglarized over the weekend.  The victim told Officers a game console, a cell phone, and a flat screen television were taken from the storage shed.

On 10/22/12, the victim called Police and asked for help in recovering her stolen cell phone.  The victim told Officers she received a phone call asking her to “buy” back the phone.  The victim arranged to meet with the caller and called Police.

Officers detained a 15-year-old juvenile who arrived to make the exchange.  The juvenile was placed in police custody and booked at the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center.  He was charged Theft, a Class “B” Misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.

The cell phone was returned to the victim and the investigation into the burglary is still ongoing.
