Occurred on 10/24/12, 11:00 pm  Aggravated Assault  1501 S. Brownlee  1210240128

Police were called to the Times Market at Elizabeth and Brownlee for a disturbance between a man and woman.  Upon their arrival, Officers found a 52-year-old man bleeding from a cut above his right eye.  He told Officers he was sitting at the bus stop when Laverne Galindo Perez (02/10/67) walked by and hit him over the head with a beer bottle. The victim was treated by CCFD Emergency Personnel and released.

The woman ran off into an empty field where Officer T. Paddock found her in an empty lot nearby.  Perez was positively identified by the victim and arrested.  She was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon which is a Second Degree Felony punishable up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
