Occurred on 10/24/12, 9:52pm Major Accident 2000 Roddfield C1208113
Police were called to a major accident involving a gold Pontiac G6 and two motorcyclists. Officers contacted witnesses who reported a group of motorcyclists were seen traveling southbound on Roddfield from S. Padre Island Drive.
At Corsair Drive, the 65-year-old driver of the Pontiac yielded in the right of way in the center lane as the riders motorcycled by. The driver believing all the motorcyclists had ridden by then pulled onto the south bound lanes of Roddfield Road. The two motorcyclist and the Pontiac collided.
Both riders were taken to Spohn Memorial, one with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Pontiac was taken to Bay Area to be medically checked. Police report both motorcyclist were wearing motorcycle helmets.
Traffic Investigators were called to assist and the traffic accident investigation is ongoing.
