Occurred Thursday, November 01, 2012, 2:30am, 900 Admiral Drive, Aggravated Assault 1211010037

A 47-year-old woman was arrested Thursday morning after a two hour standoff with police at her home on the 900 block of Admiral Drive in Flour Bluff.

A 50-year-old man called police at 2:30am and said he was shot by his roommate, 47-year-old Traci Fiala (3/13/1965). The 50-year-old man said he went to bed Wednesday night and Fiala was intoxicated. The 50-year-old man said he woke in the early morning hours and Fiala was argumentative, then pointed a gun and fired a shot at the man. The man said he suffered a minor injury to his left shoulder and then he ran out of the house and then called police.

Corpus Christi Police Officers arrived and Fiala locked herself in the home with the firearm and refused to talk to the officers. The 50-year-old man was treated for his minor injury by an ambulance crew and released.

Corpus Christi Police SWAT surrounded the home and deployed CS irritant gas into the home. Fiala then surrendered to police safely. Fiala was arrested for Aggravated Assault and delivered to the city detention center.
