A 37-year-old man was arrested at his Flour Bluff home Sunday morning for furnishing alcohol to minors.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for a vehicle crash with a pedestrian at the intersection of Caribbean Drive and Jamaica Drive at 1:08am Sunday morning.  Police officers found a 28-year-old man hidden in nearby bushes. The 28-year-old man told police officers that he was chased out of a party on Bimini Drive in which there were minors consuming alcohol. The 28-year-old man said he was not injured and ran into a parked car which prompted the call from a neighbor that there was a vehicle crash.

Corpus Christi Police Officers went to 3029 Bimini Drive and saw the garage door open. The officers saw several teenagers playing a drinking game. The teenagers ran into the house once they saw the police officers.

The home owner, 37-year-old Johnny Lance Hornbeck (4/15/1975), met the officers in the driveway to the house and displayed aggressive and defiant behavior. Hornbeck had an injured finger that dripped blood and Hornbeck became belligerent after the officers asked about the injury.

Officers identified a 17-year-old boy, two 16-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl at the home on Bimini Drive who had consumed alcoholic beverages without their parent’s supervision. The four minors received citations for consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Hornbeck was arrested for furnishing Alcohol to Minors, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and up to a $4,000 fine. Hornbeck was taken to the Spohn Shoreline Hospital for treatment for the injury to his left finger and then delivered to the city detention center.
