Off-Duty Officers working security at MaCaw’s were advised of a fight involving a man armed with a gun in the parking lot.  The Officers were told a man, later identified as Martin Lorenzo Figueroa Jr. (02/12/89) ran from the parking lot when he saw the Officers rushing over.  A female with Figueroa was detained as she attempted to drive off.  Officers found a firearm in the Lexus.

Further investigation revealed, a bar employee’s nephew walked in front of the Lexus Figueroa was driving and a disturbance ensued between the men.  Figueroa stepped out of the car and pointed a gun at the 56-year-old victim.

Officers searched for Figueroa and he was found hiding inside the Whataburger across the street.  Figueroa was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon which is a Second Degree Felony punishable by up to twenty years in prison and a $10,000 fine.  The woman was released and not charged.
