Woman Crashes into Tree As She Attempts to Flee

Police were called to the 600 block of Francesca for a disturbance involving an ex-girlfriend of the homeowner’s son.   Officers contacted Daisy Deleon (06/03/85) as she sat in a white Chevrolet Impala. Deleon was asked to turn off the car, but she sped away, fleeing south on Francesca.

It was discovered Deleon lived on Van Loan and Officers traveled to the area in search of her.  Once at Martin Luther King and Van Loan, Officers found the vehicle had been involved in a one vehicle accident, striking a tree.

DeLeon was arrested and booked at the City Detention Center after she was medically cleared.  She was charged with two outstanding Municipal Court warrants for Failure to Appear ($319) and Violation of Promise to Appear (352.10) along with Evading Arrest in a Vehicle which is a 3rd Degree Felony punishable by up to 10 years and a $10,000 fine.  She was also cited for Failing to Maintain a Single Lane.
