Designated Driver Fails to Keep His End of the Bargain

 Officers rushed to a disturbance over a one vehicle roll-over accident.  Upon their arrival, Officers observed Ambrocio Salinas III (09/24/75) quarrelling with another man over the accident.

The 30-year-old told Officers he let Salinas drive his green Ford Explorer as he had been drinking.  Salinas lost control of the SUV and crashed into the center concrete barrier.  The impact caused the SUV to flip onto its roof.  Both men were uninjured in the accident.

Salinas who appeared to be intoxicated was administered Standard Field Sobriety Tests and a Blood Search Warrant was obtained for a Blood Draw.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and an outstanding Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $460.  Salinas was additionally cited for an Unsafe Change from a Direct Course, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and No Driver’s License.

Hinojosa’s Explorer was impounded and he was given a ride home.
