Occurred on 01/02/13,  7:42am  Theft  1530 Airline Road  1301020023Senior Officer J. Fedler responded to the Lowe’s at 1530 Airline for a theft involving a Hispanic male who walked out of the store with a shopping cart full of tools.  As loss prevention officers ran up to the man’s vehicle, he drove off.

One of the loss prevention officers photographed the license plate to the older model black Cadillac with her cell phone.   Senior Officer M.W. Rogers was able to track the registered address along with several other addresses for the suspect involved in the theft utilizing the Police Department’s computer databases.

The Cadillac was located at 409 Weaver and Adam Kyle Estes (09/15/72) was found inside the residence.  Estes was pretending to be asleep when Officers contacted him.

Estes was positively identified by loss prevention officers and placed under arrest.  He was charged with Theft~Shoplifting a State Jail Felony punishable by up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.  The stolen property valued at $2,585 was recovered and returned to Lowe’s.

Lt. T.A. Nichols stated, “Super pop by all involved Officers over a prolonged investigation supplemented by Senior Officer Roger’s computer abilities.”
