The City of Corpus Christi Traffic Engineering office advises citizens, traffic control will be set up for construction at the intersection of Staples Street and Holly Road on Sunday, January 27, 2013, between 11:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.  Construction will begin on Monday, January, 28^th and last for approximately 7 to 8 weeks.

While this project is ongoing, city contractors will shift southbound Staples Street traffic onto the northbound lanes and reduce traffic to one lane in each direction through the Holly Road intersection.  During the same time, Holly Road eastbound traffic will be shifted onto the westbound lane and traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the intersection.  There will be dedicated right and left turn lanes for westbound and eastbound Holly Road.  No left turns will be permitted onto Holly Road for southbound Staples Street traffic.  There will not be a dedicated right turn lane from southbound Staples Street onto Holly Road.  Drivers are urged to consider using Burton Lane, Curtis Clark Drive, Bonner Drive or Cain Drive as detours.
