A Corpus Christi Police Officer was injured at the 3800 block of Highway 77 when a shoplifter attempted to escape from custody Friday night.
Store employees stopped a 21-year-old man at about 7:00pm Friday night when he tried to steal cigarette lighters and three game controllers from the store. Corpus Christi Police were called to the store located at 3829 Highway 77 for the shoplifting complaint.
