A 32-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were arrested Wednesday night for unlawfully carrying weapons and possession of controlled substances after the prohibited items were discovered on a traffic stop at Bluebonnet Drive and Old Robstown Road.
A Corpus Christi Police Officer initiated a traffic stop at 10:14pm when a silver 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis travelled into oncoming traffic. The 32-year-old operator of the car, Kristi Moya (11/8/1980), had an invalid driver’s license and no insurance on the vehicle. The Officer conducted an inventory of the vehicle in preparation for impound and discovered narcotics and two illegal knives.
Moya and the passenger, 33-year-old Jessie Longoria (7/30/1980), were arrested for the unlawful weapons and the narcotics, and then delivered to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police conducted a pedestrian stop on a 26-year-old man at a hotel parking lot on Leopard and discovered he carried prescription pills not prescribed to him. 26-year-old Eric Deleon (5/19/1987) said he was unsure that there was anything illegal in his pants pockets because he had just put on the pants. Deleon was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs and delivered to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 358 at Interstate Highway 37 Thursday morning and arrested 29-year-old Raymond Vela (1/16/1984) for Driving While Intoxicated. Vela drove his blue 2004 Hyundai Tiburon 2 door car into the concrete barrier at 3:16am. No other vehicle was involved and no person was injured. Vela was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and to collect a specimen of his blood, and then delivered to the city detention center.
