Two people were arrested Monday morning on the 3500 block of Lariat Lane for several warrants for their arrest, possession of prohibited weapons, and possession of controlled substances.
Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to the area of 3500 Lariat for suspicious vehicle call. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle and contacted the passenger, 20-year-old Dennis Stone (05-07-93), who was found to have a switch blade knife. Upon contact with the driver, 20-year-old Christopher Segura (02-03-93), in plain view, was a pair of “brass knuckles”. Upon securing Segura, in plain view from the driver’s window, Officers saw a clear plastic bag of control substance, later identified as cocaine. It was later learned that Christopher Segura had six outstanding warrants from Nueces County. While Officers were conducting an inventory, they located marijuana. Stone and Segura were arrested and taken to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police Officers conducted traffic enforcement, when they stopped 37-year-old Tamela Williams (06-06-76) for a speeding violation. Upon further investigation, she was found to have an active warrant for assault (CR130018734). She was arrested and transported to CDC.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle crash at the 2800 block of Gollihar Road Monday afternoon. The 69-year-old female driver of a white 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan hit her accelerator instead of her brake and then struck a utility box and pole. The woman was transported to MMC with minor injuries. No other person was involved.

A 34-year-old woman reported to Corpus Christi Police that her wallet was taken from her vehicle by a 24-year-old woman on the 4700 block of Coventry Lane Monday night.
Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for service in reference to a disturbance complaint. A 34-year-old woman told Officers she was approached by a 29-year-old man at 6:40pm Monday night and distracted while the 24-year-old woman entered the 34-year-old woman’s vehicle and stole a wallet. The 34-year-old woman caught the 24-year-old woman and got her wallet back. No arrests have been made, but police continue to investigate the crime.

A 31-year-old woman, Victoria Saenz (8/15/1982), was arrested Monday night for robbery after she assaulted store employees who confronted her for leaving a store on the 4100 block of Ayers Street without paying for merchandise. The employees (a 48-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman) received minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital by ambulance. The woman attempted to steal about $140 in toiletries.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer stopped a black 2006 Ford Taurus on the 4600 block of Kostoryz Road at 1:43am Tuesday morning for speeding. The Officer discovered there were three 15-year-old boys and one 16-year-old boy inside the vehicle and there was no adult. The 15-year-old driver told the Officer he did not have a driver’s license, the vehicle had no insurance, and his parents did not know he was driving the vehicle. All the boys were taken to the TRIP Center for the curfew violations and the car was taken to the city impound lot.
