A 53-year-old employee for a hotel reported to the Corpus Christi Police that 12 new fire extinguishers valued at about $780 dollars were stolen from the hotel located at the 4300 block of Ocean Drive overnight. The fire extinguishers were installed to hang outside the rooms.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2013 Toyota Corolla at the 6100 block of Wooldridge Road Thursday morning. The Officer discovered a substance believed to be methamphetamine inside the vehicle and then arrested the driver, 36-year-old Fernando Chavez (2/11/1977) for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle crash in which a 33-year-old woman drove a black 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle south on the 3600 block of Airline Road at 9:00pm Wednesday night and left the roadway on a curve in the road. The woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance for non life-threatening injuries. The woman received several traffic citations for making an unsafe change from a direct course, driving with an expired license, and for no insurance.
