Corpus Christi Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at 5:45am Saturday morning at 6358 South Padre Island Drive. A person had called Police when they saw two men walk from the business to a white Ford F-150 through a hole cut in the chain link fence. The Officers discovered 27-year-old George Gonzales (3/29/1986) as he lay in the bed of the truck on top of bolt cutters. The Officers found property believed to have been taken from the business that had an estimated value of $3,600 dollars. The truck was discovered as stolen from Corpus Christi on August 21, 2013. Gonzales was arrested for Burglary and for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Officers found there was a second suspect involved, but the second suspect has not yet been apprehended. The second suspect is described as a bald Hispanic man about 20 years of age, 5 foot 11 inches tall, 190 pounds and wore a gray muscle shirt and cargo pants.
Gonzales was delivered to the city detention center and the stolen vehicle recovered.

Corpus Christi Police are investigating several burglaries on the 3800 block of Andrea in which the suspect forces entry into vehicle parked outside homes and uses the garage door openers left inside the vehicles to open the garage. The suspect then gains access to the habitations to steal valuables. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 5foot 11 inches tall, 180 pounds and was seen with a plaid shirt, baseball cap, blue jeans and drove a newer model silver Ford pickup truck.

A 59-year-old man reported to Corpus Christi Police that some unknown person forced entry into a storage shed that housed equipment to maintain the grounds of the National Little League Fields and stole over $1,000 dollars worth of equipment.

A 62-year-old woman reported to Corpus Christi Police that she returned home from church to find a bedroom window open. Officers made sure no person was inside and the 62-year-old woman discovered that a 60 inch flat screen TV was taken. The 62-year-old woman told Police that she had a master bedroom closet remodeled and that they have had contractors in their home for the past several weeks. There was an estimated $1,500 worth of property taken from the home.

A 60-year-old man reported his red 2001 Jeep Cherokee valued at $15,000 dollars was on fire on the 400 block of Cape Lookout Drive at 1:26am. The 60-year-old man Police he believes the fire was intentionally caused.
