The 56-year-old man told Officers some unknown person broke a bathroom window and stole jewelry valued at about $1,700 dollars from inside his home while the house was unattended between 9:00am and 6:30pm Monday.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 17-year-old Zondra Shaw (2/28/1996) at her home on the 10900 block of Mayfield Drive Monday for a warrant for her arrest for fraudulent use of credit cards. Officers delivered Shaw to the city detention center.

A 24-year-old man reported a burglary to several vehicles at 3386 County Road 52 Monday to the Corpus Christi Police. The 24-year-old man told Officers the fence that surrounds the property was cut and tools were stolen from locked storage trailers for a business that were parked in the fenced area. The 24-year-old man estimated the value of the tools at about $1,000 dollars.

A 16-year-old girl reported a burglary at her home on the 7000 block of Sandra Lane Monday to the Corpus Christi Police. The 16-year-old girl called Corpus Christi Police at 8:17am and said she was home alone and she heard several unknown men enter her house without permission and ransack the house. The 16-year-old girl told Officers she barricaded herself in an upstairs room until Officers arrived. No injuries were reported. The 16-year-old girl reported the downstairs area of her home was ransacked, but had not discovered anything missing.

A 63-year-old man reported mail stolen from his mailbox at the 5900 block of Canyon Drive Monday to the Corpus Christi Police. The 63-year-old man told Officers he saw a light green Sport Utility Vehicle drive to his mailbox at about 12:20pm and the woman took mail from his mailbox without permission. The 63-year-old man told Officers the suspect vehicle had two women inside who appeared to be about 50 years in age.

A 38-year-old woman reported an aggravated Robbery at a store located at 4422 Weber Road to the Corpus Christi Police Monday. The 38-year-old woman told Officers a man came into the store, displayed a knife and demanded money from the register. The 38-year-old woman told Officers she said she had no money in the register because the store just opened and the man then demanded her personal cash. The 38-year-old woman told Officers the man left with nothing after she told him she had no money. The 38-year-old woman told Officers she believes there was a second man who waited outside the store as a lookout and both men were about 20 years in age and wore hoodies.

A 48-year-old man reported an aggravated Robbery at a store located at 5535 Bonner Drive Monday. The 48-year-old man told Officers a man about 20 years in age who wore a hoodie entered the store, displayed a knife, and demanded cash from the register. The 48-year-old man told Officers he displayed a handgun to the suspect and the suspect ran out of the store without taking anything.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 29-year-old Christopher Edwards (12/22/1983) for Aggravated Assault Tuesday at a nightclub at 6410 Weber Road. Corpus Christi Police responded to a fight which involved several people at 1:47am. Three people went to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Officers learned that Edwards displayed a knife in the fight and attempted to cut the bouncers of the club as they escorted him out of the club. Corpus Christi Police arrested Edwards for Aggravated Assault. Officers additionally charged Edwards with possession of a controlled substance when the Officers discovered he had contraband concealed in his shoes. Edwards was then delivered to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 24-year-old Robert Mendiola (6/21/1989) for burglary of a vehicle at 6410 Weber Road Tuesday morning. Corpus Christi Police responded to a fight complaint at a nightclub at 6410 Weber Road at 1:47am and conducted an arrest. While the responding Officers investigated the assault, Officers learned that one of the customers at the club saw Mendiola in the customers white Chevy Tahoe stealing. Officers arrested Mendiola for Burglary of a Vehicle. Officers additionally charged Mendiola with possession of a controlled substance when they discovered Mendiola had medication not prescribed to him, and then delivered Mendiola to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a vehicle crash with a bus on the 3800 block of MacArthur Monday night. Corpus Christi Police learned that a tan 2003 Mercury Sable operated by an 18-year-old man drove south on MacArthur in a 30 mile per hour speed zone, lost control of the vehicle, swerved into oncoming traffic, and struck a Regional Transit Authority bus and a black Saturn sedan. There were five passengers on the bus who were all not injured and the Saturn was unoccupied. The 18-year-old was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Corpus Christi Police discovered evidence that the 18-year-old man consumed alcoholic beverages and the Investigating Officers initiated an investigation for Driving While Intoxicated. Corpus Christi Police collected a specimen of blood from the 18-year-old man while at the hospital. The 18-year-old man remained in the hospital for treatment.
