Case Number: 1407230128
A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze sedan traveling west on Lipan St. fail to yield right of way nearly causing a crash. The officer stopped the car in the 400 block of North Staples St. and contacted the driver Gregory Vaden (09/24/1980), and his front seat passenger Schuyler Eastwood (03/04/1976). The driver was determined to have a suspended drivers license and no liability insurance. When the officer asked the female passenger for her name, she gave a false name and date of birth. As the officer was gathering more information from his patrol car, he could see that the female was moving around and looked like she was trying to hide something near the floor of the car. A female officer arrived to assist, and she knew the female passenger from another call. She told the officer what the passengers real name and date of birth was, and it was determined that she had an outstanding arrest warrant. While the officer was impounding the car, he observed more pills and crystal methamphetamine on the floor of the passenger side. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license, a Class B misdemeanor. The female was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, fail to identify, a Class A misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
