Patrol Report September 12, 2014

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 209 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight September 11 to 7:00 a.m. on September 12, 2014. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“Bravo” District

Location: 2200 Airline Road
Offense:  Aggravated Assault           (PC 22.02 Second Degree Felony)
Case Number: 1409110082
A 29 year old male Coca-Cola delivery driver told Corpus Christi Police Officers that he had parked his truck in the 2200 block of Airline Rd. when a man threatened him with a knife. The victim said a white male approached him and started arguing with him about the way he had parked his delivery truck. During the argument the suspect pulled out a knife and pointed it at the driver, and then threatened to go to his car and get a gun.  The suspect was described as being a white male, about 5`10″ tall and weighing about 200 pounds.  He also had a mustache and a beard, and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.  He left driving a red Ford Mustang with another male inside.  Officers are still investigating this case, and have not made an arrest in this case.

Offense:  Driving While Intoxicated            (PC 49.04 Third Degree Felony)

Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle crash in the 10000 block of S. Padre Island Dr. and found a 2003 Jeep Wrangler driven by James Banuelos (07/05/1973) had struck the cement base of a large freeway sign.  The driver was not injured, but he was intoxicated.  He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony, and his Jeep was impounded.  The cement base of the sign did not have any damage to it.

Offense:  Aggravated Assault           (PC 22.02 Second Degree Felony)

A 22 year old male victim told Corpus Christi Police that he was inside a convenience store in the 4200 block of S. Staples St. buying a drink when he observed a female and a male arguing outside. The male then drove off leaving the female behind. The victim approached the female and was checking on her when the male drove back into the parking lot.   The victim said he then got back into his vehicle and drove off and the male followed him.   The victim said that when he turned onto the 4700 block of Gollihar Rd. his vehicle was hit from behind by the male.   The victim then went back to the convenience store, and saw the suspect male inside and police officers outside. The victim told officers what had happened and the officers arrested Eddiberto Montalvo (07/20/1987).  Upon investigation officers determined that the suspect was intoxicated and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a Class B Misdemeanor.    The suspect was additionally charged with aggravated assault, a second degree felony, for intentionally striking the victims vehicle.

Offense:  Indecent Exposure            (PC 21.08      Class B Misdemeanor)

Corpus Christi Police responded to the 1100 block of N. Shoreline Blvd. about a male subject naked on the seawall.  A 24 year old male witness told officers he was with his wife and their six year old daughter walking on the seawall when they saw a naked male subject masturbating under a pavilion on the seawall. Officers contacted Todd Swoyer (08/14/1970) and arrested him for indecent exposure, a Class B misdemeanor, and he also was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for a parole violation.
