Offense: Possession of as Controlled Substance (HS 481.115 State Jail Felony)
Case Number: 1409170020
A 31 year old female called Corus Christi Police to her apartment located at 4702 Old Brownsville Rd. for a possible burglary in progress. She said that her ex-boyfriend was trying to force open the front door of her apartment. Officers arrived and found Marcos Gonzales (09/30/1979) outside the apartment building and upon checking his pocket they found four small plastic bags each containing what appeared to be narcotics. One bag contained heroin another contained cocaine, and a third crystal methamphetamine. A fourth bag contained several pills believed to be hydrocodone. The suspect was charged with three felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the suspected heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine, and charged with a misdemeanor count of possession for the hydrocodone. Officers found no evidence that the suspect made entry into his ex-girlfriends apartment.

Offense: Burglary of Habitation (PC 30.02 Second Degree Felony)

A 58 year old male reported to Corpus Christi Police that he went to work at 7:00 am and when he arrived at his home in the 2000 Braeswood Dr. at 5:00 pm he found his front door kicked in. The victim said once he got inside he noticed several items in his house to be missing including six firearms. The victim said several electronics were stolen along with three rifles, two shotguns, and a pellet gun. Officers are still investigating this case and at this time, no suspects have been arrested.

Offense: Possession of Controlled Substance (HS 481.115 State Jail Felony)

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado driving in the 1100 block of Morgan Avenue completely in the lane of opposing traffic. The truck was stopped and the officer contacted the driver, Shane Turner (05/23/1971). After an investigation it was determined that the suspect was intoxicated, and he was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor. While officers were conducting an inventory search of the truck for impound, they found a black Crown Royal bag in the center console with several small plastic bags inside. The bags contained a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. The suspect was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony.

Offense: Discharging Firearm (PC 42.12 Class A Misdemeanor)

Corpus Christi Police responded to a possible drive by shooting in the 2500 block of Nogales St. Officers found several shell casings in the middle of the street in front of 2526 Nogales St. Several neighbors heard the shots fired and described a small grey passenger car that was shooting at as dark colored vehicle that were both traveling down Nogales St. Officers did not locate anyone that had been struck by the gunfire, and did not find any property that had been damaged. Officers collected the shell casings for evidence and are still investigating this case.
