A 26 year old female victim called Corpus Christi Police and reported that a 9mm Glock handgun that she placed in the center console of her 2013 Ford F150 truck was stolen. The victim said she is not sure when the gun was taken and that she only noticed it was missing earlier in the day. No forced entry to the truck was observed and the victim believes she may have left her truck doors unlocked.

Corpus Christi Police continue to pick up counterfeit money around the city. Store employees of the HEB Plus located at 1145 Waldron Rd. said that sometime on Monday an unknown suspect passed a counterfeit ten dollar bill at the pharmacy cash register. Officers took possession of the bill and the store is looking at camera surveillance images to try and determine who passed the bill.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am sedan traveling east in the 2600 block of Holly Road at a high rate of speed. The officer stopped the car and contacted the driver, Gabriel Gomez (11/14/1983), and after an investigation determined he was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony, and his car was impounded.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle at the intersection of Mc Ardle Rd. and Kasper St. The investigation revealed that a 29 year old female was driving her 2009 Dodge Journey SUV with a male passenger, east on Mc Ardle Road when a 42 year old female, who was attempting to cross Mc Ardle Road from north to south, was struck by the SUV. The driver told officers that her visibility was affected by the sun shining in her eyes and she did not see the pedestrian until it was too late. The pedestrian later died after being transported to Spohn MMC by CCFD EMS. At this time Corpus Christi Police Traffic Investigators continue to investigate this crash, and have not filed any charges.

A 50 year old male called Corpus Christi Police and said he was assaulted by three unidentified Hispanic males earlier in the evening as he walked in the 3000 block of S. Port Ave. During the assault one of the suspects took his wallet containing a small amount of cash. The victim had some swelling to the right side of his face from being punched, and it appeared as though his jaw was broken. CCFD EMS transported the victim to Spohn MMC for treatment. The victim could not provide a physical or clothing description of the suspects. No arrests have been made in this case.
