Patrol Report October 16, 2014

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 205 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight October 15 to 7:00 a.m. on October 16, 2014. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“Bravo” District

Location: 6300 McArdle Road
Offense: Aggravated Assault
(PC22.02        Second Degree Felony)
Case Number: 1410160009
Corpus Christi Police responded to the report of a stabbing in the parking lot of Zero’s Bar located at 6327 McArdle Rd. Officers arrived and did not find a victim or an offender but did locate a crime scene consisting of blood splatter on the gravel parking lot in front of the bar.  While officers were still investigating this, a call came in from a 42 year old man who said he had been involved in a fight at Zero’s Bar and that he had stabbed someone in the leg. The man was now at his home located in the 1200 block of Mendoza St. Officers responded to his home and gathered his information and collected the knife that was used. At this time there has been no victim come forward or show up at any of the hospitals reporting a stabbing. The man was identified and released and officers will continue to investigate this case.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle hit and run crash in the 3600 block of S. Alameda St. after officers received reports of a 2009 Toyota Camry sedan running into several signs, a fence and utility pole. Officers responding to the call found the vehicle just east of Driscoll Hospital crashed into a utility pole and a fence. The crash investigation revealed that the female driver was observed running a red light at S. Alameda and Doddridge St. traveling west on S. Alameda St.  The vehicle left the roadway and struck a no parking sign and a street lamp just past that intersection.  It then left that crash scene and continued traveling down S. Alameda St. and left the roadway again striking a hospital sign and a RTA sign in the 3600 block of S. Alameda St.  The vehicle left that scene and that is when it crashed into a telephone pole and a wooden fence just down the street.  Officers were able to stop the driver there and upon investigation they found her to be intoxicated.  The 45 year old female was taken to Spohn MMC by CCFD EMS with serious injuries.  Once she is released she is facing charges of driving while intoxicated, and fail to remain and report a crash.  The total damage to all the property that the female destroyed was estimated to be over $5000.

A clerk at a convenience store located at 4754 S. Padre Island Drive called Corpus Christi Police after a female came in the store and attempted to make a purchase with a counterfeit ten dollar bill. The female left in a brown Cadillac after the clerk called the police. Officers collected the fake bill and continue to investigate this case.
