Patrol Report October 17, 2014

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 223 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight October 16 to 7:00 a.m. on October 17, 2014. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“Adam” District

Offense: Aggravated Assault

A 47 year old male called Corpus Christi Police after he said an ex-boyfriend tried to hit him with a car while he was in the front yard of his home located in the 4100 block of Teresa St. The man said he had to jump out of the way so the vehicle would not hit him. The suspect had driven by the victim’s house a couple of times before that yelling and swearing at the man while he was outside doing yard work. Other officers responding to the call, found the suspect, Clifford Courville (11/14/1966) in his 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt near the location and arrested him for aggravated assault, a first degree felony.  His vehicle was impounded.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were called after the owner of a stolen vehicle saw his car driving down Airline Road.  The owner of the 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe followed the stolen vehicle and called police giving updated details on the vehicles location. The vehicle then pulled into the Navy/Army Federal Credit union located at the corner of Airline Rd. and S. Alameda St. Officers arrived and found the vehicle at the credit union drive thru window. As it began to leave officers were able to stop the vehicle behind the business. The driver, Rose Mary Guillen, (01/25/1974) and passenger Richard Villarreal (10/21/1985) were taken into custody. While conducting an inventory of the recovered stolen vehicle officers found narcotics in a bag in the passenger compartment. Further investigation revealed that the two suspects had just passed checks to the credit union that were forged. Ms. Guillen was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a second degree felony, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Mr. Villarreal was charged with forgery and possession of a controlled substance both state jail felonies.

Offense: Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon

A 24 year old female called Corpus Christi Police to report a man in the parking lot of her business with a gun. The female called officers after she was told by customers at her business that they had seen a man in the parking lot trying to put a gun underneath a parked car.   Officers arrived and found the suspect walking away from the area and they saw him attempt hide something in a pile of trash and stopped him.  Officers arrested James Greene (07/29/1992) and recovered a 9 mm handgun from the pile of trash.
