Patrol Report 10/23/2014

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 185 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight October 22 to 7:00 a.m. on October 23, 2014. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“Bravo” District

Offense: Aggravated Assault

A 26 year old male victim called Corpus Christi Police and told officers that he was playing video games in his apartment when his common law spouse grabbed the controller out of his hand and threw it across the room. The two had been arguing about their children earlier.  The female then got on top of him and began punching him several times in the face and bit him on his left arm.  The victim attempted to hold her down but she broke free and went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife.  The female made threats to the male while holding the knife and the male left the apartment to call police.  Officers arrived and observed injuries to the male and after an investigation they arrested, Norma Bueno (07/08/1982), for aggravated assault, a first degree felony.

Corpus Christi Police assisted the U.S. Secret Service serving a federal warrant of arrest that had been issued earlier in the day for Rosa Maria Guillen (01/25/1974) for bank fraud. The female was located and arrested at her residence in the 6600 block of Hardwick Dr.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a forgery in progress at the Bank of America located at 5370 S. Staples St. Bank employees directed officers to Matthew Grove (05/15/1977) who was attempting to walk out of the lobby.  When he was stopped by officers, it was determined that he had attempted to withdraw money from someone else’s account that had been flagged by the bank.   The suspect also had someone else’s identification cards in his possession. After the suspect was arrested, for forgery, a state jail felony, and fraud, a third degree felony, officers found several packages of heroin in a case he was carrying. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, a second degree felony,

Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for a loud verbal disturbance in the parking lot of a business located at 5850 Everhart Rd. When officers arrived they found a male and a female arguing loudly in the parking lot. Officers identified the male as Reymundo Diaz (10/22/1970), who told them that he was in an argument with his 29 year old girlfriend and that they were both yelling very loudly at each other. While officers continued to investigate, another male approached officers and stated that he saw the suspect grab a black bag from his truck and place it on the ground next to a nearby fence. The male directed the officer to the bag and inside there were several clear plastic bags containing cocaine. It was confirmed that the bag belonged to the suspect and he was arrested and charged with possession a controlled substance, a second degree felony.
