Corpus Christi Police were called after a truck and trailer wore stolen by a man following a crash. Three men were attempting to back up a truck and trailer from a private drive in the 5100 block of Curtis Clark St. As they were backing up they collided with a 2002 Nissan Altima driving by on Curtis Clark St.
According to the three men, the male driver of the Nissan was attempting to drive away from the scene so they were forced to hold him down. The male managed to get free from the three men and he jumped into their truck and drove away.
As officers arrived and they were investigating this call, the 21 year old male who had left in the truck called from the Sam’s Club at Everhart Rd. and S. Padre Island Dr. wanting to speak to officers. Officers arrived and found the male with the truck and trailer that had been taken. He told officers that the three men immediately started to assault him after the crash so he fled the scene in their truck because he feared for his life.
After talking to all parties involved, officers decided not to arrest any of the individuals at this time, however all the claims will be investigated.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a disturbance between a male and a female at a home located in the 6900 block of Guinevere St.
When they arrived a 35 year old male told them that he and his wife were arguing about their infant child when he was physically attacked by her. He was grabbed and punched by the female and he recorded the assault with his cell phone.
Officers were able to view the video and arrested Yvette Flores (04/08/1977) for assault, a Class A misdemeanor. The male victim was not seriously injured.

A 38 year old male called Corpus Christi Police after he was hit in the head by an Apple I pad that was thrown at him by his wife while the two were having a disturbance at their home in the 3300 block of Sterling Dr.
Officers and CCFD EMS arrived and found the male with a cut on his forehead and torn clothing. He said that his shirt was torn in an earlier dispute with his wife. He said he then attempted to go to bed and while lying there his wife got upset about something she found on the I pad, and she threw the device at him and hit him in the head causing the cut.
Officers arrested Inemesit Nwosu (04/16/1980) and charged her with assault, a Class A misdemeanor, the male was treated at the scene.

A convenience store clerk called Corpus Christi Police after a man armed with a box cutter walked into the business located at 9602 S. Padre Island Dr.
The clerk said the male displayed the weapon in an alarming manner causing all the customers and employees to exit the store. The male picked up a fire extinguisher and sprayed the work area behind the store counter and then locked himself in an office at the back of the store.
Officers arrived and began a verbal dialogue with the male, who had locked himself in the office. Officers were able to talk him out after about 30 minutes and took Rodolfo Baltazar (06/14/1970) into custody. He was charged with disorderly conduct with a weapon and public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.

Offense: Investigation of Burglary and Assault

A 29 year old mother called Corpus Christi Police after she was awoken by her 10 year old daughter who told her that someone had been in her bedroom.
The daughter said that she woke to find a man standing by her bed. The man fled, and the daughter ran to her mother’s room and told her. The mother then went to wake the child’s father who was sleeping in another room in the house.
The parents contacted police, and officers arrived to investigate. It is unknown how the suspect made it into the home since no forced entry was found. The child was not seriously injured but was taken to the hospital. Corpus Christ Police continue to investigate this case and no suspects have been arrested.

Offense: Investigation of Death

Corpus Christi Police are investigating the death of a female that was found on the seawall in the 700 block of Shoreline Blvd.
A 40 year old male walked into one of the mirador pavilion’s and found the female on the steps next to the mirador. CCFD EMS responded and confirmed the female had died.
At this time there is no information regarding her identify or age as she was found with no identification. There was no foul play suspected in her death.
