A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe near the intersection of Nesbitt Street and Gollihar Road.

Inside the vehicle the officer found $12,549 in cash.  The driver, Jose Moreno (05/09/1991) was arrested for money laundering, a state jail felony.

A female passenger in the SUV, Valerie Pena (12/29/1987) was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, when the officer located some pills without a prescription in her possession.

Corpus Christi Police Officers observed Mathew Grove (05/15/1977) at La Palmera Mall located at 5488 S. Padre Island Dr. attempting to sell four cell phones to the vending machine located inside

Officers made contact with the man and found in his possession, several identification cards and checks belonging to other people. The suspect was arrested for fraudulent use of identifying information, a state jail felony.

A female victim called Corpus Christi Police after she discovered her credit cards were missing from her purse while out shopping at a store located at 3725 Leopard St.

While in the process of canceling the cards she was told that one of her credit cards was being used.  Responding officers missed the suspects using the card but a witness told them that he saw the suspects go into a nearby motel room.

Video footage from the motel showed the suspects leaving. The female victim then called officers back to say that the suspects were again using the credit card at a store located in the 4300 block of Ayers St.

One of the officers still at the motel relayed a description of the suspects while reviewing the footage. Upon arriving at the store on Ayers St. officers found the suspects standing at the counter.

Officers arrested Elesha Thompson (09/23/1977) and Victoria Narvaez (10/24/1989) and charged them both with credit card abuse, a third degree felony.
