Location: 3800 Agnes Street
Event: Fuel Spill
Case Number: 1412040079
Corpus Christi Police closed the 3800 block of Agnes Street for two and a half hours Thursday afternoon while the Corpus Christi Fire Department cleaned a fuel spill.
A 22-year-old man operated a red 2005 Peterbilt truck-tractor with a 2005 trailer in tow which hauled diesel fuel on the 3800 block of Agnes Street. The 22-year-old man noticed fuel spill from the trailer he hauled and stopped immediately and requested help to clean the spill. The Corpus Christi Fire Department responded and requested Corpus Christi Police to block traffic. Corpus Christi Police blocked off Agnes from Virgina Street to Cheyenne Street at 1:43pm.
Other services arrived to manage the fuel spill. None of the fuel spilled into the drain and a Police supervisor said the health department officials told him that there was no environmental hazard as a result of the spill. The Fire Department cleaned the fuel from the road and Police opened the road for normal use at about 4:15pm. No injuries were reported. Police believe the trailer was punctured and have not issued any citations by the time of this report.
