A 17 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after a Dodge Charger with red and blue lights tried pulling him over on Leopard Street.
The man said that he saw the vehicle get behind him and activated red and blue lights located near the rearview mirror. He said he pulled over and then realized that something didn’t seem right. The man believes there may have been four people in the car that stopped him.
The man decided to leave and went to a nearby business parking lot. He said the vehicle followed him but once he pulled into the parking lot it drove by and kept going.
Police are investigating this incident, and at this time no suspect has been arrested.

The owner of Selena & Company Salon, located at 3519 S. Staples Street, called Corpus Christi Police after she arrived at her business and found the front glass door had been destroyed.
A suspect made entry into the business and removed the cash register. No other items appeared to have been stolen. The owner estimated the value of the register to be at least $300, and it had less than $10 cash inside. The damage done by the suspect to the front door of the business was nearly $1000.
Officers were able to obtain video surveillance from cameras at a nearby business that shows a small dark passenger car pull up in front of the salon and a male with short hair wearing a light colored jacket, and blue jeans, enters the business and exits with the stolen cash register. The suspect then gets in the vehicle and leaves.
Officers continue to investigate this burglary, and at this time no arrests have been made.

The victim of a hit and run crash was able to track down the suspect vehicle that had struck her parked car and called Corpus Christi Police to make contact with the driver.
Officers arrived, at the Sutton Place Apartments located at 6838 Everhart Road, and were told by a 19 year old female that she had found the car that hit her 2012 Nissan Versa while it was parked on the street in the 4800 block of Snowgoose Road.
During the investigation officers determined that the suspect lived at the apartment complex. Once the female suspect was located, it was determined that she had driven the vehicle, and had been involved in the hit and run crash and was intoxicated.
Gabriela Ramirez (02/04/1992) was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and for leaving the scene of a crash, both Class B misdemeanors.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a vehicle parked off the roadway in an empty grass lot near the 1100 block of S. Staples Street.
The officer found a Hispanic female passed out behind the wheel and after waking her, she told him that she fell asleep in the car while waiting for a friend.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the 2006 Chevrolet Aveo sedan was stolen and officers arrested the female, Amy Lopez (05/04/1980), for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
A male victim had called police back on January 27 and told them a girl he only knew as “Amy” had taken his car while they were at a party at a hotel located at 5142 Oakhurst Drive.
